Dave Contra is one of those artists who delve into the dark arts of dark humour and make comics that are totally devoted to shtick. The main goal of his comics is to make people laugh. It also illustrates concepts to get people thinking. about the flat face of a pug, plumbing systems, mortality, existence and the universe. He says that the hardest part is definitely the drawing. Even though I have a very simple cartoon style, people don’t realize how much work it can be. His sense of humor is very dark/dry.
