Derek Evernden, an illustrator, is the author of the quirky comic strip series Bogart Creek. One panel is more than enough for the artist to create a story; he doesn’t need many. Derek’s distinct drawing technique and dark sense of humor are the ideal mix to make you laugh out loud, whether the subject is amusing animal interactions or the troubles of adults.
He has experience in both traditional and digital illustration, as well as advertising art direction. His professional work as a member of the Association of Canadian Cartoonists consists of political cartoons (recently printed in the Toronto Sun), portraits of people or animals, comics, posters, concept art, and caricatures.
He has a really strange and dark sense of humor. He has amassed a following of 21,200 followers on Instagram by structuring the entire story as single-panel cartoons.
