Previously known as Sarahscomiclife, now under the name Stewed-Comics these bite-sized hilarious masterpieces are created by an artist named Damian. Damian’s comics showcase moments from his own life whether they’re relatable funny absurd, or thought-provoking. I also like to keep it compact and add a little funny twist to it. Damian explained. We spoke with Damian, the artist behind Stewed-Comics, who shared more about himself: “I’m Damian, 25 years old, and I’m from Germany. I’ve always loved to draw and art in general. Right now, I’m working as a painter, which I think is a creative job, but my dream is to become a professional illustrator someday.

We asked Damian what first drew him to cartooning and artistry. He shared, I started drawing cartoons after getting into digital art in 2017. I had fun drawing myself as a little character and decided to share some stories from my everyday life that I thought my friends would find funny. I began posting them on Instagram and people loved them. It all started with the simple goal of making people laugh and it worked.

Damian also shared more about his creative process. I get ideas for my comics from unique situations where I think Hey, let’s make a comic about this or from everyday moments where I think, I can’t be the only one who experiences this let’s turn it into a comic. Sometimes, ideas come out of nowhere, so I always keep my notes app handy to jot them down. From there, it’s just sketch, ink, color, and post Damian explained.
